The Power Of No
For some odd reason the most difficult thing to do is for people to say, NO.
It’s like we don’t want to let people down or we feel super obligated to be everything for everyone. I used to be that person. Making sure that I was at everyone’s events and going above and beyond. I call this….. The absolutely doing the most syndrome. Don’t get it confused with being a good coworker, a friend, spouse, or any other relationship.
At some point you must start saying no. People will definitely take advantage of you. Half the time they don’t even realize it but they are so accustomed to you saying YES. Check it because before you know it your life will be so wrapped up into somebody else’s because you keep saying YES. Start freeing yourself.
These three reasons that saying no can be so powerful.
1. Setting Boundaries
2. Standing Up For Yourself
3.Showing That You Mean Business
Remember, don’t waste your life pleasing everyone around you that you forget about you.
