Capacity

Do what’s best for your mental health. Often times we find ourselves catering to others. We tip toe around their issues. It’s almost like, we know their triggers and what makes them upset. We understand and respect their boundaries. We now their mental health capacity.

However, the best thing you could ever do is to know your boundaries. It’s ok to respect other people’s boundaries, but what about yours?

I spent a lot of my life people pleasing and making sure that I was there for anyone who needed me. It took a toll on me mentally and I want you to know that it’s absolutely ok to step back.

I started saying no to invites, standing up for myself with work related issues, and taking some me time.  Don’t overload yourself with everyone else. Take some time for you.

Giving away all of your time and energy can be mental draining. You will mess around and end up on “E”

Don’t lose yourself being there for everyone else. Be present for YOU. Take care of YOU.  It’s time to know and understand your mental health capacity.
